Psychoeducational Assessment

Ages 7+

A comprehensive evaluation that helps identify how an individual learns, thinks, processes information, and performs academically. The goal is not simply to identify challenges, but to better understand how a person learns and to provide meaningful strategies and supports that promote success, confidence, and well-being.

What This Addresses:

Addresses difficulties with reading, writing, math, or learning; attention or concentration challenges; problems with memory, organization, or processing speed; academic underachievement despite strong effort; giftedness or advanced learning abilities; and anxiety, frustration, or reduced confidence related to school or work.

Can Help Clarify:

Can help clarify diagnoses such as Learning Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disabilities, and Giftedness.

Includes:

  • Cognitive testing (language, memory, attention, nonverbal problem solving)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment

Ages 2-20

A comprehensive evaluation used to better understand social communication, behaviour, and development. ASD assessments help determine whether an individual meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder and identify strengths, support needs, and recommendations for home, school, and community settings.

What This Addresses:

Addresses speech, language, or social communication difficulties; challenges with social interaction; repetitive behaviours or restricted interests; sensory sensitivities; emotional regulation or behavioural challenges; difficulty with transitions, flexibility, or routines; and delays in play, social development, or adaptive functioning.

How This Can Help:

Can help clarify whether Autism Spectrum Disorder is present; identify strengths and areas requiring support; guide treatment and intervention planning; support access to school accommodations and community services; and improve understanding of a child's unique developmental profile.

Combined Psychoeducational + ASD Assessment

Ages 7+

A comprehensive evaluation that combines both psychoeducational and ASD assessment for a more thorough understanding of functioning and needs. This integrated approach provides a complete picture of cognitive abilities, learning profile, and autism-related characteristics.

Ages 18+

Psychoeducational Assessment

Comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities (including attention) and academic skills to identify possible learning disabilities, ADHD, and determine accommodation needs for post-secondary education or workplace settings.

Addresses longstanding learning difficulties, struggles with reading comprehension, writing, math, organization, and the need for academic or workplace accommodations.

ADHD/Psychodiagnostic Assessment

Focused evaluation for ADHD and related mental health concerns to clarify diagnoses and provide treatment recommendations for adults experiencing attention, focus, or emotional regulation challenges.

What This Addresses:

Addresses difficulty concentrating, disorganization, procrastination, impulsivity, forgetfulness, anxiety, mood concerns, and challenges managing work or relationships.

Important Information

Who We Serve:

Assessments are available for youth age 2+ and adults. Services for youth include psychoeducational assessments, ADHD assessments, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) evaluations. Services for adults include psychoeducational assessments and ADHD/psychodiagnostic assessments.

Timeline:

Most assessments require one intake session and two testing sessions which vary from 1.5-3 hours each depending on the type of assessment. All assessments include a detailed written report with findings, recommendations, and next steps.

Fees:

Assessment fees are billed at $240/hour. Additional testing may incur extra fees. Payment can be made by direct billing insurance, credit card or e-transfer. Check with your insurance provider for coverage details.

Exclusions:

I cannot provide psychoeducational assessments to students in French Immersion programs, as I cannot provide educational testing in French.
